Fringe, Fall and all that Funk

GS LOVE / September 24, 2018

We are nearing the end of September which means we are vastly approaching October which also means it’s officially, officially Fall. The leaves are starting to turn colors and fall from the trees and the weather is getting colder. Here in Los Angeles, it’s not getting dramatically colder but the leaves are falling from the trees.

Just like leaves hanging from trees, we have a trend that hangs by threads. Fringe is another one of those trends that can date you as far back as the 1920’s. Yes we are talking those famous flapper dresses. The beauty of this trend is that it isn’t something that’s exclusively for cold weather. However, I’d like to address how to properly style fringe for the fall.

Shop the look: Jr’s Cardigan l Plus’s Cardigan

This season, the perfect addition to your wardrobe should be one of these fringe cardigans. We heard that the Western trend is on the rise and these two cardigans could easily master that look. You will want to keep majority of your outfit muted and have the cardigan do the talking. The perfect bottoms for these cardigans, not to mention a staple for your fall wardrobe, is going to rest easy with some distressed black jeans.

Shop the look: Jr’s Sweater & Embellished Skirt  l  Plus’s Sweater & Leggings

During this time of the year we just can’t get enough of chunky sweaters featuring fringe. With a solid color fringe sweater you can have more freedom to pair it with some funky bottoms that will complete a total Boho inspired outfit. For simpler days, pair a tribal print fringe sweater with complimentary leggings for another Boho inspired outfit.

Fringe will be making an appearance in just about every Fashionista’s wardrobe this Fall so be sure to tag us at #gslovesme in your next Fall Fringe outfit.
